    This 3-day desert tour takes you from Fes to Marrakech through some of the most beautiful landscapes in Morocco, including mountains, valleys, and the Sahara Desert of Merzouga.

    You will travel through the Middle Atlas Mountains, visit amazing places like Ifrane and cedar forests, and cross the magnificent Ziz Valley before reaching the Sahara desert. In Merzouga, you will enjoy a camel trek over the golden dunes and spend a magical night in a desert camp under the stars.

    The journey continues to Todra Gorge and Dades Valley as well as the famous Ksar of Ait Benhaddou. Finally, you will cross the High Atlas Mountains before you arrive in Marrakech

    Travel Plan & Highlights:

    Day 1Fes – Ifrane – Cedar Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

    Our journey starts in the morning in Fes. We will drive through the Middle Atlas Mountains; our first stop will be in Ifrane, a town known for its clean streets, cool climate, and European-style architecture. After that, we will continue to the cedar forests near Azrou, where you will see Barbary macaque monkeys in their natural habitat. Next, we will make a lunch stop in Midelt and then the road takes us through the magical Ziz Valley, a vast palm oasis surrounded by dramatic desert landscapes. In the late afternoon, we will arrive in Merzouga Desert.

    Here, we will begin our camel trek across the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi, enjoying a breathtaking sunset over the Sahara. Last but not least, we will have dinner and stay overnight in a traditional desert camp, with music, fire, and a night under the stars.

    Day 2Merzouga – Todra Gorge – Dades Valley

    On the second day of our journey, we will wake up early to watch the magical sunrise over the dunes, have breakfast and then return by camel or 4×4 to Merzouga town
    After that, we will drive to the impressive Todra Gorge, a dramatic canyon with majestic rock walls and a river running through it. This is one of the most beautiful natural sites in Morocco and a perfect place for walking, hiking and photos. The journey then continues through Berber villages and the famous Road of a Thousand Kasbahs before arriving in Dades Valley. Here you will spend the night in a traditional Moroccan Riad overlooking the mountains and rock formations, with dinner included.

    Day 3Dades Valley – Ait Benhaddou – High Atlas – Marrakech

    After our breakfast, we will travel toward Ouarzazate, known for its film studios and desert landscapes. Next, we will  then visit the famous Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO World Heritage ksar that has been used in many international movies and series.

    After exploring the site, we will continue our drive through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, enjoying many panoramic mountain views and traditional Berber villages along the way.
    In the evening, we will arrive in Marrakech, marking the end of your 3-day desert adventure.
